This is it. Everyone needs to do a Newcastle run. It's an ER rite of passage and wives, partners etc will instantly give leave passes. Leaving from Hornsby Pool and following the well honed route; Old Pacific Highway, Dog Trap road, strike out towards the coast and follow the lake bike path round to the Entrance for a well earned break, somewhere around 09:00. Through the national park and a brief dalliance with the F1 we get to the most excellent Fernleigh Track up to Adamstown, tunnels and platforms aplentty. Then a hop skip to Guiness and salvation. Bold soles in need of F500 can turn round and repeat in the reverse direction. nomal peeps will catch the train from Boardmeadown.
