Ride2Work Day 2016

Wednesday 12 of October is National Ride2Work day.

The aim of the Ride2Work program is to get people thinking about and starting to cycle to work. To support this initiative, the local commuting group, the Easy Riders bike bus, is offering to accompany new cycle commuters into the Sydney CBD on Wednesday 12 October.

The main meeting point will be at Gordon at 6:45 am.  We are expecting a large turn-out on Wednesday so will split the bunch based on speed and ability. We commit to helping anyone with a bkie get from Gordon to the CBD.

Ride2Work day is supported by our friends at Kuring-Gai Council, as well as Willoughby, North Sydney and the City of Sydney councils who are providing riders' breakfasts on the route into town on the Willoughby bike path, at Milsons Point and in Prince Alfred Park. There is no Hyde Park breakfast this year so we will probably linger at the Gordon Recreational Park and again at North Sydney.

More details on the Ku-ring-gai council web site.

Start points:

6:45 Gordon Recreational Reserve, Werona Ave (by the mini roundabout on Werona Ave after Gordon Station)
    7:05 Killara Station, Werona Avenue
    7:10 Lindfield Station, Lindfield Avenue
7:15 Roseville, corner Clanville Rd & Hill St
7:25 Chatswood, corner Tindale Rd & Mowbray Rd

Arrival times:

   7:35 Willoughby bike path
   7:50 North Sydney
    8:00 kent Street

If you want to ride to work on Wednesday but on a different route see the Ride2Work web site or the Easy Rider routes page for more options.
