Mavis's Magical Mystery Tour With Allambie Return

This is a route introduced to Easy Riders by Mavis and is normally led by Big Goaders. The speed is OAFATSR. It is an enjoyable ride that will help develop your climbing skills. The ride normally runs on a Tuesday leaving Sydney Harbour Bridge South (SHBS) at 5.30pm (SHBN at 5.37pm).  Please check the ride calendar to confirm the ride dates. Combining with a Fluffer on these days will give you an c.100km of commuting in a day which is great preparation for any longer rides i.e. Melbourne Around The Bay, Sydney To Wollongong Return etc.

The route heads through Kirribilli, dropping down to Anderson Park in Neutral Bay and then heads up Rawson Street where the fun begins. With a regroup at the top of Premier Street we cross Military Road and follow the cycle routes signposted to Mosman and Manly whilst enjoying the undulations of the ride. Joining Spit Bridge from the west (opposite side to Parriwi) we then climb Battle Boulevard, rejoin the Pittwatter Road until the Allambie turn at the lights. After conquering Allambie there is a regroup point just after the roundabout joining Aquatic Drive. The ride then heads down to the Aquatic Centre and through bike paths and local roads until crossing the shared pedestrian/bike bridge above Warringah Road. Now we are close to home with a pacey ride up Forest Way and down Mona Vale Road until arrival at St Ives. ETA at St Ives is between 1850hrs and 1900hrs.
