The time has finally come to leave Oz and set up home in England.
Ha, surely not for the weather I hear you say (although it didn't rain for 14 days when we did LEJOG last year), no it's for my wife Sarah who never actually got to travel around her home country when she was young as she moved to Oz with me. She also wants to catch up with her elder sister who lives in Oxford.
On Friday 24 May I fly out one way to London so I'd like to say farewell to anyone and everyone who can hopefully make it to the Greengate Hotel on Wednesday 22 May from 5.30pm onwards.
I'll book a table or two out the back for eating but intend to roam around and chat with all and sundry.
I've certainly had a wonderful 13 years with the Easy Riders who have forced me to do some amazing and ridiculous rides and I have also been fortunate to meet some incredible people. I'll miss them.
I intend to set up an ER Cotswolds chapter though and do some bike touring around Europe.
I've already set up a spreadsheet for cycling the Loire Valley, the Dordoyne, Provence, the Rhine River, the Moselle river, the Danube river to Vienna, the Dolomites, the Spring Classics, Lake Constance, etc. etc, so hopefully I might catch some of you if you pass on through or want to join.
Best
Laurie
