Cancellation of the Orange Challenge will cost the area millions so a number of us are still going to support the community. It is Turnips 60th birthday as well so we can also celebrate that more in style.

An alternative 80km round trip ride will take place on Sunday after breakfast at a civilised 8.30am leaving from Turners Vineyard where we are staying Saturday night - email Dave Speakman if you want a room, or Flash has some spare accommodation. We ride 20kms to the beautiful country town of Milthorpe for coffee and explore then ride to the legendary Forest Reef tavern and from there an optional 25km return ride down to the bottom of Piggery Hill and back.

Lunch (pub grub) has been booked at the Tavern for 12.30pm after which we ride the exhilarating yeeeehaaaa route back to Orange and then back to Turners Vineyard by around 2.30-3pm for the drive home.

For those that get there Saturday lunchtime you can do a 80km return ride out towards Cargo and back. Or just hit the nearby vineyards or explore beautiful Orange...
