Description:

Try again shall we........

It's been a while since we did a 200km ride. Weather permitting, proposing what was originally an Audax ride through Windsor/Richmond/Springwood and return.

If you don't want to do the full 200kms, you can exit at Windsor and take the Covid Express back from Rouse Hill. Approximately 90kms for this option.

Starting at 6:00am from Hornsby Pool, we travel north to Berowra Waters, cross the ferry and end up at our first stop at Tractor 828. Next we take in the flat lands of Windsow and Richmond, admiring the different types of Turf that is grown in this region. Can you name a few?

We then start climbing towards Sprinwood via Winmalee. Taking in a brief stop at the lookout at the top of the climb. Feel free to take photos and admire the sweeping views of the valley below.

Lunch is at Springwood. Our guides have selected only the best cafes for your adventure.

We travel back down following the back roads, crossing a Roman built bridge that dates back to 23AD. We pass through Emu Plains and along the flat roads to Windsor where we select another cafe to refresh and refuel.

As Galston Gorge is currently closed, we will return either via Berowra Waters again or take the M2 to the start of BWH then up Kisso.

Approximately 2500m of climbing. Come on, you know you want to.
